An example of bluetooth advertising would consist of a transmitter being placed on a billboard, near a projection site, or at a mall. Any compatable cellular phone that's in proximity will be invited to receive a message by making the Bluetooth Discoverable.

Upon doing so, the cellular user will be prompted to accept the advertisers message, promotion, or commercial clip, which can be saved to the phone in some instances. This program is best used as a compliment to a traditional or guerilla out-of-home campaign.
